Hamburg, December 12 – Police are appealing for witnesses after two separate home invasions targeted women in their residences in Wellingsbüttel and Iserbrook. Both incidents involved the victims being tied up by the perpetrators, who subsequently fled with valuables.
Wellingsbüttel: 70-year-old threatened with firearm
The first incident occurred on Friday morning in Wellingsbüttel. Two unidentified individuals assaulted a 70-year-old woman in her home. As she was attempting to drive out of her garage, the perpetrators threatened her with a firearm and forced her back into the house. The suspects then tied up the woman before escaping with an unspecified amount of jewelry and cash.
Iserbrook: 43-year-old also targeted
A similar incident took place on Thursday afternoon in Iserbrook, where three unknown men assaulted a 43-year-old woman in her apartment. In this case, too, the assailants fled with cash and jewelry after tying up the victim. The police have not yet released detailed descriptions of the suspects in either case.
Police investigation underway, public assistance requested
The Hamburg police have launched investigations into both incidents and are actively searching for the perpetrators. Authorities are urging anyone with information that could assist in identifying the suspects or shedding light on the circumstances of the robberies to come forward. The police have emphasized the importance of public cooperation in solving these crimes and ensuring the safety of residents.
The incidents have raised concerns among local residents regarding home security. Police advise citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities in their neighborhoods. Further details regarding the ongoing investigations are expected to be released as they become available.
