COVID-19 Update: No New Infections Reported in Munich District on December 22, 2025

Munich, December 22 – The Munich District in Bavaria reported no new COVID-19 infections on Monday, December 22, 2025, according to data released by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI). Over the past seven days, 14 cases were registered in the district, bringing the current 7-day incidence rate to 3.9 per 100,000 inhabitants. The total number of individuals who have tested positive for coronavirus in the Munich District now stands at 170,063.

COVID-19 Situation in Bavaria and Germany

Across Bavaria, the 7-day incidence rate is currently 8.2 per 100,000 inhabitants. No new infections were reported for the state compared to the previous day, though nine new fatalities were recorded. The cumulative number of positive COVID-19 tests in Bavaria has reached 6,891,203. The 35-59 age group accounts for the highest number of cases in the state, with 2,632,152 infections.

Nationwide, Germany’s 7-day incidence rate is 9.3 per 100,000 inhabitants. No new infections were reported for the entire country, which the RKI notes may indicate inconsistencies in data transmission. The total number of COVID-19 related deaths in Germany remains at 188,711.

Although daily vaccination updates ceased on April 8, 2023, previous data indicate that 76.3% of the German population (63,493,268 individuals) had received basic immunization against COVID-19. A total of 64,806,784 people, or 77.9% of the population, had received at least one vaccine dose. By April 8, 2023, 188,244,457 vaccine doses had been administered across Germany.
