Bus Catches Fire on A103 in Schöneberg, Driver Escapes Unharmed
Berlin, January 21 – A public bus caught fire on the A103 motorway in the Schöneberg district on Wednesday evening. The driver was able to bring himself to safety and remained unharmed. No passengers were on board the bus at the time of the incident, according to the fire department.
Incident Details and Emergency Response
The fire erupted in the rear section of the articulated bus. The exact cause of the blaze remains unclear. Firefighters were quickly on the scene and managed to extinguish the flames efficiently.
During the operation, the A103 in the direction of Sachsendamm had to be completely closed, affecting also the transition to the A100 motorway. This led to significant traffic disruptions in the area.
