Dr. Claßen emphasized the importance of this new facility: “We are convinced that it would be beneficial to offer these people support, so that there are fewer incidents and burdens in this district.” The goal is to stabilize these individuals and integrate them into the existing social support system, ultimately reducing public disturbances and improving their quality of life.

The clinic’s team, though not yet fully assembled, will eventually include two psychiatrists, two psychologists, social workers, and nursing staff who will be present daily. This multidisciplinary approach ensures comprehensive care, addressing both mental health needs and social integration.

The former office building currently offers 30 transitional places for people with addiction and homelessness issues.
