17-Year-Old Arrested in Hamburg After Brutal Attacks and Racist Threats
Hamburg, April 2 – Police in Hamburg have arrested a 17-year-old in Lohbrügge following a series of violent incidents, including two assaults on a 19-year-old and a separate incident involving racist threats. The suspect was taken into custody on Wednesday morning.
Two Attacks on a 19-Year-Old Victim
According to police reports, the 17-year-old, along with other accomplices, allegedly confronted a 19-year-old man in early March, demanding money. During this encounter, the perpetrators reportedly kicked the victim with ‘Springerstiefel’ (combat boots). Just four days later, the 17-year-old, again with others, is accused of attacking the same 19-year-old victim a second time.
Racist Threats and Propaganda Material
Further investigations revealed that the arrested teenager is also suspected of having threatened a man with a knife and racially abused him in Langenhorn back in February. During the arrest, police seized right-wing propaganda material from the 17-year-old’s possession, suggesting a potential extremist motive behind some of the attacks.
Ongoing Investigation
The police investigation into these incidents is ongoing. Authorities are examining the full extent of the 17-year-old’s involvement in the assaults and the racist threats, as well as any connections to right-wing extremism. Further details are expected to emerge as the investigation progresses.
