Munich Airport Welcomes AnimaWings: New Direct Route to Bucharest

Munich, April 7 – Munich Airport (MUC) has announced a new direct flight connection to Bucharest, Romania, operated by the Romanian airline AnimaWings. The new route, which commenced on April 2, offers a non-stop journey between the two cities, significantly enhancing travel options and economic links.

Daily Flights to Boost Regional Connectivity

The AnimaWings service operates daily, with the exception of Saturdays, providing consistent connectivity for both business and leisure travelers. The flight duration is approximately two hours and ten minutes, making Bucharest more accessible from Bavaria. All AnimaWings flights at Munich Airport will be handled at Terminal 1.

Strategic Route to Meet Growing Demand

AnimaWings cited increased demand for travel between the two regions and the strengthening economic relationship between Bavaria and Romania as key reasons for launching the new route. This move is expected to facilitate greater business opportunities and cultural exchange.

The airline will deploy an Airbus A220-300 aircraft for this route. This modern aircraft features 137 seats, including 12 in the Business Class, offering passengers a comfortable travel experience.

Strengthening Bavarian-Romanian Economic Ties

The introduction of this direct flight is a strategic development that underscores the growing importance of Eastern European markets for Bavaria. It is anticipated to further bolster trade, investment, and tourism between the two regions. The enhanced connectivity provided by AnimaWings will likely be a boon for companies operating in both Bavaria and Romania, as well as for individuals seeking to explore these vibrant destinations.

Looking Ahead: Increased Travel Options from Munich

Munich Airport continues to expand its network, offering diverse travel options to passengers. The addition of AnimaWings and its direct service to Bucharest is another step in strengthening Munich’s position as a key international hub, catering to the evolving needs of travelers and fostering international connections.

This new route offers a convenient and efficient way to travel between Munich and Bucharest, reflecting the dynamic growth in air travel demand and the ongoing efforts to enhance global connectivity.
