Berlin, April 28 – Unknown assailants fired shots at the premises of a car parts dealer in Berlin-Neukölln. Employees discovered bullet holes in the entrance door on Monday morning when opening the business on Lahnstraße, prompting them to alert the police, authorities reported.
Police Recover Casings, Investigate Robbery
Responding officers secured several shell casings at the scene. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. The Special Task Force (BAO) “Ferrum” (Latin for iron) of the Berlin State Criminal Police Office has launched an investigation into suspected robbery with extortion.
A police spokesperson stated that a potential connection to similar incidents is also being examined. The BAO Ferrum unit is specifically tasked with combating violent groups and firearms-related crime.
Previous Incident at Driving School Under Investigation
This incident follows another recent shooting. On Monday night, an unknown man fired shots at a driving school in Reinickendorf. BAO Ferrum is also investigating that case, highlighting a concerning pattern of firearms incidents in the city.
