The map was created by a Reddit user and exclusively tracks the price of the classic döner in bread, excluding variations like Dürüm or Shawarma.
Currently, 917 kebabs have been mapped, with 695 of them including price information. The prices range from a low of 3.50 euros to a high of 8.50 euros.
Average price exceeds seven euros
According to the data collected so far, the average döner price in Berlin is now slightly over seven euros. This indicates that in many instances, the snack no longer falls within the traditional low-price segment.
A notable aspect is the broad spectrum of prices: while some individual establishments still offer kebabs for well under five euros, others are already charging significantly more. This suggests that the price of a döner is now more heavily influenced by its specific location and surrounding environment than ever before.
