Man Injured in Berlin Stabbing, Suspect Arrested

Berlin, July 23 – A man sustained stab wounds in an altercation yesterday evening in the Lankwitz district of Berlin. The incident, which occurred in Falkenhausenweg, led to the arrest of a 31-year-old suspect.

Stabbing Incident in Lankwitz

According to initial police findings, a resident in Falkenhausenweg reported hearing loud arguments between two men around 8:30 PM. During the dispute, a 31-year-old man allegedly inflicted a stab wound to the upper body of a 33-year-old man before fleeing the scene.

Emergency services quickly arrived and transported the injured man to a hospital, where he was admitted and underwent surgery. Authorities have confirmed that his life is not currently in danger.

Suspect Apprehended by Police

Officers from Police Section 46 launched an immediate search for the perpetrator. A short time later, they located and provisionally arrested the 31-year-old suspect in a green area near Malteserstraße.

The arrested individual was subsequently transferred to the Criminal Police Department 4 (South), which has taken over the ongoing investigation. The suspect is expected to be brought before an emergency court today for a warrant of arrest to be issued.

The Berlin Police have not yet released further details regarding the motive behind the altercation or the specific circumstances leading to the stabbing. The investigation is in its early stages, and authorities are working to piece together the full sequence of events.
