Munich, July 29, 2026 – Bayerische Hausbau Development, in collaboration with Munich’s City Building Councillor Prof. Dr. (Univ. Florence) Elisabeth Merk, Florian Schörghuber, CEO of the Schörghuber Group, and other guests from politics, administration, and the real estate industry, today laid the foundation stone for the Parkside Lerchenauer Feld residential quarter. This festive ceremony signifies a further milestone for the quarter’s development in northern Munich. Following the completion of earthworks and civil engineering, the first buildings of the quarter will now be constructed on the site.
A Major Urban Development Project for Munich
With a total of approximately 1,650 apartments, Lerchenauer Feld is one of the most significant urban development projects in northern Munich. In addition to new housing, the project includes a high school, a primary school, six daycare centers, local amenities, and approximately 32,000 m² of public green spaces. The goal is a mixed-use urban quarter characterized by short distances and efficient social infrastructure. The urban planning concept combines urban density with generous open spaces. Loosely arranged buildings, green courtyards, and a central green corridor create a clear spatial structure, ensuring that living, meeting, and recreation are closely intertwined.
Bayerische Hausbau Development’s Contribution
Bayerische Hausbau Development is developing three construction fields within the new urban quarter. According to current plans, approximately 600 apartments with a total living area of 34,000 m² will be built there. The first construction phase will see the erection of 165 apartments and a daycare center.
