Hamburg Police Arrest Suspected Drug Dealers, Seize Kilograms of Narcotics
Hamburg, August 7 – Hamburg police have successfully apprehended two suspected drug dealers in the Harvestehude district, leading to the seizure of several kilograms of illicit drugs. The arrests were made on Thursday following an extensive investigation by the drug squad of the State Criminal Police Office (Landeskriminalamt).
Under Surveillance: The Initial Arrest
Investigators had been monitoring one of the alleged dealers for some time. On Thursday, officers observed an apparent drug handover. The police intervened shortly thereafter, arresting the 24-year-old suspect. According to police reports, the individual was found in possession of cocaine, cash, two mobile phones, and a can of pepper spray.
Major Drug Cache Discovered in Harvestehude Apartment
Following the initial arrest, police received intelligence regarding a potential drug storage facility linked to the suspect – an apartment in Harvestehude. Officers proceeded to the location on Grindelberg, where masked police stormed the apartment. A second 24-year-old individual was arrested inside. During the search, investigators discovered significant quantities of narcotics, including approximately six kilograms of marijuana, two kilograms of ecstasy, four kilograms of amphetamines, and 500 grams of hashish.
Both suspected dealers are currently in pre-trial detention as the investigation continues.

This operation comes as part of broader efforts by Hamburg authorities to combat drug trafficking in the region. In a separate, but related development, two men, aged 30 and 26, were recently arrested in Hamburg and Norderstedt. Police believe these individuals are members of a larger drug dealing gang and are suspected of organizing courier services for narcotics.
