FC Bayern Munich Officially Signs Bara Sapoko Ndiaye
Munich, August 10 – FC Bayern Munich has officially announced the permanent signing of 18-year-old Senegalese midfielder Bara Sapoko Ndiaye. The transfer, previously reported by Sky Sport, sees Ndiaye join the German record champions on a contract until 2031. The transfer fee is reported to be 3.5 million Euros, with the player arriving from Gambino Stars.
Long-Term Contract for a Desired Player
Ndiaye, a central midfielder, was a key target for coach Vincent Kompany. His contract with FC Bayern Munich runs until 2031, signaling the club’s long-term vision for the young talent. The agreement with the Gambian club was reached as part of the Red&Gold joint venture, a partnership between Bayern and Gambino Stars that has been in place since 2023. Ndiaye initially joined Bayern on loan in January of this year under this same umbrella.
Impressive Performances During Loan and Pre-Season
During his loan spell and in the current summer pre-season test matches, Ndiaye has consistently impressed in central midfield. The Senegalese international, who is also a World Cup participant, has demonstrated significant potential. The transfer fee for Ndiaye is estimated to be between three and four million Euros.
Club Officials Express Enthusiasm
Sporting Director Max Eberl highlighted the strategic importance of the signing. “From a sporting perspective and beyond, Bara Ndiaye fits perfectly with our strategic squad alignment. We want to further strengthen athleticism, pace, and game intelligence in midfield, while also offering international talents a clear development path,” Eberl stated.
Sporting Director Christoph Freund also expressed his excitement on the club’s website. “Bara is a great character who has settled in a completely new environment at FC Bayern in a very short time and quickly gained high acceptance within the team. We have been observing him for a long time; he was the captain of his team, has made impressive progress over the past 24 months, and has continued that development in Munich. As a central midfielder, Bara thrives on his dynamism and speed on the ball, is intelligent in his play, and is also exceptional off the pitch. He already speaks good German and has integrated into our team in a very short time.”
Ndiaye’s Dream Come True
Bara Ndiaye himself shared his joy regarding the permanent move to Munich. “Today is a very big day for me and my whole family. I want to learn every day from all these great players here at FC Bayern and try to help the team. A dream has come true for me; I am very happy and also want to be an example for other young players, like my teammates at Gambino Stars, that you can make it to one of the biggest teams in the world,” the teenager was quoted as saying.
