Tank Station Employee Seriously Injured in Munich Robbery, Teenager Arrested
Munich, September 10 – A 30-year-old tank station employee in the Bogenhausen district of Munich was seriously injured during a robbery on the night of Wednesday, September 9th. The man was attacked with a sharp object in his upper body. Police have since arrested a 15-year-old suspect in connection with the incident.
Large-scale Police Operation After Robbery
According to police reports, the employee, a Munich resident, contacted emergency services himself around 0:15 AM, describing the robbery. This triggered a large-scale police operation involving more than 20 patrol cars.
During extensive search operations, officers from the Munich Support Command located and apprehended a 15-year-old suspect at a tram stop near the crime scene. The teenager, also a Munich resident, was taken into temporary custody. He is expected to be brought before an investigating judge as early as the following day to determine if he will be remanded in custody. The investigation, led by Commissioner 11, is ongoing, with suspicions of attempted homicide.
Employee Undergoes Emergency Surgery, Stable Condition
Emergency medical services and a doctor attended to the 30-year-old at the scene before transporting him to a Munich hospital. Due to the severe injury to his upper body, he underwent emergency surgery during the night. As of the latest update, his life is not in danger.
