Captains Berlin and DC Hawks Vilsbiburg Maintain Perfect DDV Bundesliga Start
The second matchday of the DDV Bundesliga saw Captains DC Berlin and DC Hawks Vilsbiburg continue their impressive runs, both remaining undefeated in the new season. The defending North champions, Dart Team Köln, secured their first win after a strong comeback against Vikings Berlin, while ATSV Mutschelbach suffered a defeat against Leipzig. In the second division, the top team from Hanover also dropped their first point.
1. Bundesliga: North Division Highlights
Captains DC Berlin now sit atop the North Division table after a 7-5 victory at home against the previously unbeaten DC Vegesack Bremen. Michael Klönhammer showcased his skill with a 97-average against Marcel Althaus, though “Scorpion” and Timo Hartmann retaliated in doubles to secure a crucial point. Berlin then comfortably defeated promoted side Greifswald 9-3, who also lost heavily 2-10 to Bremen.
Promoted team DC Dartona Reken achieved an 8-4 win in Cologne after previously drawing against Vikings Berlin. Kevin Jußen of Reken had a stroke of personal luck, moving up to the Super League following Daniel Klose’s World Championship qualification. Cologne, thanks to outstanding doubles play, managed to turn their match against Berlin around for their first seasonal victory. Flensburg secured 3 points from their home matches against Steinfurt (6-6) and Wolfenbüttel (7-5), with Wolfenbüttel, led by Arno Merk, winning their direct duel against Steinfurt 7-5.
1. Bundesliga: South Division Thrillers
The South Division experienced an incredibly exciting matchday, with none of the nine matches ending with a margin greater than 7-5. DC Hawks Vilsbiburg relied on strong doubles performances to defeat Olympia Koblenz and the improved DC Torpedo’s, who secured their first point against Koblenz. Vilsbiburg now has 8 points, with Swiss player Bruno Stöckli boasting a perfect 8-0 record.
At the matchday in Bad Windsheim, DC LaBamba, ATSV Mutschelbach, and Dart Fabrik Leipzig each defeated one another in a round-robin fashion. A similar scenario almost unfolded in Nuremberg: DC Wolfsölden beat DSV Finnigan’s Harp and lost to Dartmoor, who then drew 6-6 against Finnigan’s. Dartmoor remains one of only three undefeated Bundesliga teams.
2. Bundesliga: North Division Update
In the second division, Shakespeare Dartists Hannover e.V. A lead the North table, primarily due to an impressive leg difference. However, the team, featuring Ricardo Pietreczko and Jarod Becker, dropped their first point in a 6-6 draw against SGR-9-Darter. With a subsequent 7-5 victory over Seesen, SGR-9-Darter also remained unbeaten, as did USG Racing Mimimi. These three top teams all have 7 points, followed by Pusdorfer Ratten and Disaster Darts. Bundesliga relegated team Schönberger 180’s – The Wanderers are currently struggling, despite earning a point against Racing Mimimi, they remain at the bottom of the table.
2. Bundesliga: South Division Update
In the South, Dartverein Kaiserslautern narrowly won the derby against Nostradartmus 7-5. Nostradartmus is now in a relegation spot after another close defeat against DSC Bandits. DVK, along with Clochard Darter Augsburg, have solidified their positions at the top. Augsburg beat the ambitious promoted team 1. DSC Honzrath 8-4. Robin Janßen of Honzrath achieved a 10-darter in his first game against Franz Rötzsch, but Augsburg pulled away in the end. DC Urbach also remains undefeated, having beaten, among others, former Bundesliga team Walldorf.
