Amalie Sieveking Hospital in Volksdorf to Get New Building
Hamburg, April 13 – The Amalie Sieveking Hospital in Hamburg-Volksdorf is set for a significant expansion with the construction of a new building. The City of Hamburg is providing 53 million euros in funding for this development.
The multi-storey new building on the hospital grounds will house five new operating theatres, an expanded emergency room, modern delivery rooms, and new wards for maternity and gynaecology. Social Senator Melanie Schlotzhauer (SPD) stated that the goal is to improve patient care in modern facilities with shorter distances for patients.
Medical Care in Northeast Hamburg to Be Strengthened

The Evangelical Amalie Sieveking Hospital currently has 341 planned beds and treats approximately 30,000 patients annually.
