Federal police successfully apprehended an armed drug dealer on Tuesday morning in Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf. Officers had initiated a control check on the man at Jungfernheide station around 9:15 AM. The suspect attempted to flee but was quickly caught after a brief pursuit. During a search, officers discovered a significant quantity of drugs, 440 euros in cash, and a one-hand knife in his backpack. The federal police initiated proceedings for suspected violation of the Narcotics Act with a weapon. The Berlin police subsequently took over the investigation and transferred the 42-year-old, who was known to the police, to a detention center. He is scheduled to appear before a magistrate on Wednesday.
Xenophobic attack in Steglitz bus
A young woman was xenophobically insulted and attacked on a bus in Steglitz on Tuesday. According to police, an unknown assailant approached the 19-year-old victim on the M48 bus around 4:15 PM. The assailant reportedly hit the 19-year-old on the shoulder and pulled her headscarf, while also verbally abusing her with xenophobic remarks. Both women exited the bus at the Schloßstraße stop.
