Berlin S-Bahn: Ringbahn Closure – Buses Replace Trains Until Tuesday Morning

S-Bahn passengers in Berlin need to allow extra time for their journeys on the western and partially northern sections of the Ringbahn. Due to ongoing construction, lines S41, S42, and S46 are currently not operating between the Halensee and Beusselstraße stations. This disruption is expected to last until Tuesday, May 27, 2026, at 1:30 AM. A replacement bus service has been set up to mitigate the impact on commuters.

Reason for the Disruption:
The S-Bahn closure is linked to construction projects around the Funkturm motorway junction and work on the new Ringbahn bridge and Westend bridge. An old signal box is being demolished, and cable work is also being carried out as part of these essential infrastructure upgrades.
Replacement Bus Stops:
To ensure continued mobility, a comprehensive replacement bus service is in operation. Passengers are advised to note the following bus stops:
- S-Bahn Halensee: Regular stop
- U-Bahn Adenauerplatz: Stop on Lewishamstraße in front of Wilmersdorfer Straße (same as Bus 109)
- Kaiser-Friedrich-Straße/Kantstraße: Stop for S Charlottenburg
- S-Bahn Messe Nord/ZOB: Stop on Ostpreußenbrücke (same as Bus M49)
- S-Bahn Westend: Stop on the southern side of the Spandauer Damm bridge (same as Bus M45)
- S+U-Bahn Jungfernheide: Stop on Olbersstraße
- S-Bahn Beusselstraße: Regular stop
