Leading representatives of the professional long-term care sector are meeting this Monday in Berlin for the Carekonkret Future Workshop on Care. The focus of the discussions is the draft of the Care Reorganisation Act (Pflegeneuordnungsgesetz – PNOG), which is a major concern for the industry, especially the planned suspension of the collective bargaining loyalty rule.
Masterclasses Address Key Industry Challenges
Steve Schrader, Editor-in-Chief of Carekonkret, and his team are hosting the Future Workshop. Participants will engage in five masterclasses to discuss critical issues such as economic viability and tariff refinancing, the financing of the care system, service and supply structures, digitalisation, and human resources. The primary objective is to formulate common impulses for policy-makers wherever possible.

The Future Workshop sees participation from a wide array of organisations, including the Association of Diaconal Employers in Germany (VdDD), the Employers’ Association for Care (AGVP), the German Evangelical Association for Elderly Care and Nursing (DEVAP), the German Nursing Council (DPR), the Federal Association of Outpatient Services and Inpatient Facilities (bad), the Association for Digital Standards in Nursing (VdSP), the Federal Association of Municipal Senior and Disability Facilities (BKSB), the Association of German Elderly and Disability Aid (VDAB), the Federal Association of Home Paediatric Nursing (BHK), the Initiative Pro Pflegereform, the Employers’ and Professional Association of Private Care (ABVP), and the State Association for Home Nursing Saxony-Anhalt (LVHKP).
