Hamburg, September 2, 2026 – Le Méridien Hamburg, located on the Außenalster, has announced Christiane Kirchenbauer as its new General Manager. Kirchenbauer, 39, officially took over the leadership of the 285-room and suite hotel on September 1, 2026, succeeding Till Westheuser, who has departed from MHP. Westheuser had led the Le Méridien Hamburg since late 2024.
A Return to MHP Hotel AG with Extensive Experience
This appointment marks a return to MHP Hotel AG for Kirchenbauer, who previously served as F&B Manager at Le Méridien Stuttgart from 2016 to 2020. Her extensive background in Food & Beverage is a particular asset, as she expressed enthusiasm for the hotel’s culinary offerings.

A Career Defined by Luxury Hospitality
Christiane Kirchenbauer’s career is distinguished by her long-standing experience in brand and luxury hotel management. She completed her hotel management training at Le Méridien Grand Hotel Nuremberg. Her professional journey includes significant leadership roles:
- 2016: Joined MHP as F&B Manager at Le Méridien Stuttgart.
- Subsequent roles: Executive Assistant Manager with a focus on Food & Beverage at Althoff Hotel am Schlossgarten, and Executive Assistant Manager at Schlosshotel Kronberg.
- March 2023: Served as Hotel Manager at Roomers Baden-Baden.
- Most recently: Joined the pre-opening team of Schloss Reinhartshausen as General Manager, where she led the project and was instrumental in overseeing the renovation in collaboration with the IHG hotel group.
