Electronics retailer Coolblue is continuing its Germany-wide growth course and has opened its new logistics center in Berlin-Schönefeld. At the same time, Coolblue announces its next milestone: in spring 2026, the first Berlin Coolblue store will follow in a central location directly on Wittenbergplatz.
New Logistics Center in Schönefeld to Serve 4.7 Million Berliners
With the opening of the approximately 2,600 square meter logistics center, around 4.7 million people in Berlin and the surrounding area will immediately benefit from fast delivery and personal service. While smaller electronic products are already delivered nationwide via DHL, Coolblue delivers large household appliances and televisions by its own delivery service at the customer’s desired date from the next working day after ordering.
Coolblue will initially use the new logistics center for two years. In parallel, a depot twice its size, specially tailored to the company’s operational requirements, is being built on the same site. With this expansion, Coolblue is laying the foundation to make the infrastructure in the capital region more efficiently sustainable and to support growth in the region.
Flagship Store at Kurfürstendamm to Open in Q2 2026
The new delivery area will be followed by the first store in Berlin next spring. In mid-Q2 2026, the electronics retailer will open at Tauentzienstraße 7. On approximately 1,756 square meters, customers can discover and experience products in eight product worlds – from smartphones, laptops, and audio to televisions and gaming, as well as washing machines, dryers, and kitchen and household appliances. The focus is on personal advice from product experts, supplemented by digital elements that offer a seamless online-offline shopping experience. An inviting atmosphere with free coffee or tea and a play area for children rounds off the shopping experience.
“Berlin is diverse, warm, and direct – a dynamic environment where our way of thinking about service fits in perfectly. With the new logistics center, we are creating the basis for our own infrastructure in the region and bringing our service closer to the people in the capital,” says Urs Möller, Country Manager Germany at Coolblue. “And we are going a step further: next spring, we are opening our store on Ku’damm – an ideal location for us to bring our customer-centric concept to Berlin. There, we combine personal advice, tangible products, and digital services into a refreshing shopping experience with the aim of not just satisfying customers, but delighting them.”
Coolblue’s Strategic Expansion in German Market
This strategic move underscores Coolblue’s commitment to expanding its presence in the German market. The combination of a dedicated logistics center and a physical retail store is designed to provide a comprehensive and seamless customer experience, catering to both online and offline shopping preferences. The investment in a larger, custom-built depot further highlights the company’s long-term vision for sustainable growth and improved service delivery in the capital region.
The emphasis on personal consultation by product experts in the new store reflects Coolblue’s customer-centric approach, aiming to differentiate itself in the competitive electronics retail landscape. By offering a diverse range of products and an engaging shopping environment, Coolblue seeks to establish itself as a key player in Berlin’s retail sector.
The company’s expansion into Berlin is a significant step in its broader strategy to strengthen its market position across Germany, building on its success in other regions. The new logistics capabilities will enable faster and more efficient deliveries, particularly for larger items, which is a crucial aspect of customer satisfaction in the electronics market.
