EDIH pro_digital: New Digitalization Hub for AI, Robotics, and Cybersecurity in Berlin-Brandenburg
Berlin-Brandenburg, June 4, 2026 – The European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) pro_digital has officially launched in Berlin-Brandenburg, establishing itself as a significant new resource for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and public administrations. This hub aims to facilitate the practical implementation of digitalization, automation, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) projects.
Isabell Peters, scientific director of EDIH pro_digital and professor at the Technical University of Wildau (TH Wildau), highlighted the region’s readiness for digital transformation. “We observe a strong willingness in the region to embrace digitalization and AI, but often, the right entry point is missing,” Peters stated. “Our hub consolidates expertise from research, industry, and administration, translating it into concrete offerings that enable companies and administrations to move from an idea to functional prototypes within a few weeks.”
EDIH pro_digital specifically targets SMEs and public administrations in Berlin-Brandenburg that seek to test, evaluate, and implement digitalization and AI solutions tailored to their specific needs. The hub focuses on future-oriented fields such as Artificial Intelligence, automation, robotics, and cybersecurity.

EDIH pro_digital provides four core service areas, allowing organizations to select based on their requirements:
- Test before invest: Organizations can experiment with technologies like AI, robotics, automation, and cybersecurity in laboratory and demonstration environments before committing to investments.
- Qualify and enable: The hub offers training, workshops, and recurring formats on topics such as practical AI applications, data and process management, low-code development, and secure digital infrastructures.
- Individual formats: Expert guidance is provided for identifying use cases, selecting appropriate technologies, project planning, and addressing questions related to funding and financing.

This collaboration combines scientific expertise, technological competence, and practical experience in digital transformation. The European Commission and the State of Brandenburg provide financial support for the hub.
