Four-Year-Old Dies After Falling From 15th Floor in Berlin-Marzahn

Berlin, March 3 – A tragic accident occurred on Monday, March 2, in Berlin-Marzahn, where a four-year-old boy fell from the 15th floor of an apartment building on Ludwig-Renn-Straße. The child, despite immediate resuscitation efforts, died shortly after in the hospital.

Tragedy in Berlin-Marzahn: Emergency Services on Site

The incident took place at 1:45 PM. Firefighters and rescue personnel were immediately alerted to the scene. Paramedics found the lifeless body of the boy on the asphalt directly in front of the building entrance. According to information from the “BZ” newspaper, rescuers immediately initiated resuscitation measures. An emergency doctor was flown to the scene by rescue helicopter to provide rapid treatment for the critically injured child.

Police Investigations Underway

A fire department spokesperson confirmed to the “BZ” that “the child [was] transported to the hospital under resuscitation conditions.” Despite all efforts, the boy succumbed to his severe injuries, as announced by the police in the afternoon.

Authorities have launched an investigation to clarify the exact circumstances of the fall. It remains unclear how the tragic accident occurred. A grief counselor was called to provide support to the family and offer initial psychological assistance.

The Ludwig-Renn-Straße remains closed for police investigations while the background of the fall is being examined. The day after the tragic death of the boy, the police initiated a death investigation procedure, as is customary in such cases.
