Festive Meal, Gifts, and Star-Studded Entertainment
Attendees will be treated to a traditional goose dinner and receive gifts, including sleeping bags and hygiene articles. A diverse stage program will provide entertainment, featuring performances by the band Atemlos, Annemarie Eilfeld, Mitch Keller, Nino de Angelo, and Nicole.
The event is also set to attract a host of prominent figures who will serve as waiters, adding a special touch to the occasion. Among the expected celebrity servers are Berlin’s Governing Mayor Kai Wegner (CDU), former Mayor Franziska Giffey, Brandenburg’s Minister President Dietmar Woidke (both SPD), politician Gregor Gysi (Left Party), Hertha BSC President Fabian Drescher, entertainer Wolfgang Lippert, boxing world champions Artur Abraham and Marco Huck, canoe Olympic champion Ronald Rauhe, SPD top candidate Steffen Krach, former RBB presenter Ulli Zelle, and many others.
Haircuts and Pet Food Among Special Offerings
In addition to the festive meal and gifts, guests will have access to unique services. Hairdresser Petra Biernoth, along with approximately 20 colleagues, will offer free haircuts. For those with animal companions, pet food will also be provided.
Community Support and Widespread Outreach
Invitations to the Christmas dinner are distributed through around 80 Berlin homelessness assistance organizations, ensuring that the event reaches those most in need. The initiative is heavily supported by numerous volunteers; approximately 750 individuals registered to help, necessitating a lottery to select participants. Zander organizes the celebration alongside his family and continues to call for donations to sustain the effort.
