The brewery, which describes itself as a “nano-brand,” draws inspiration from Franconian brewing traditions, focusing on producing unfiltered lager beers.
Other Hamburg Breweries Also Recognized

This success not only brings prestige to HHoppiness but also contributes to the reputation of Hamburg as a significant brewing hub.
The ‘Finest Beer Selection’ is renowned for its rigorous evaluation process, where expert judges meticulously assess each beer based on various criteria, including aroma, flavor, mouthfeel, and overall balance. A score of 90 points is a testament to the exceptional quality and craftsmanship of the ‘Hamburger Goldstück #5 Maibock’.
Looking Ahead for HHoppiness
This award is expected to boost the visibility and demand for HHoppiness beers, potentially opening new markets beyond Hamburg. For a “nano-brand” like HHoppiness, such an achievement can be transformative, allowing them to expand their operations and reach a wider audience while maintaining their commitment to traditional brewing methods and high-quality ingredients.
The success of HHoppiness and other local breweries at an international level reaffirms the strength of the German brewing industry and its ability to compete and excel on the global stage. It also encourages other small, independent breweries to continue innovating and striving for excellence in their craft.
