Kraftklub Announces 2027 Open-Air Concerts, Massive Demand for Munich Tickets
Munich, September 16 – The popular German band Kraftklub has announced a new tour for 2027, which will include a stop in Munich. An open-air concert is scheduled to take place at the Königsplatz, and the local pre-sale has already seen enormous queues and significant demand for tickets.
The Chemnitz-based band unveiled the news via a video on Instagram. The five musicians, led by frontman Felix Kummer, are shown playing a song from each of their five albums – Mit K, In Schwarz, Keine Nacht für Niemand, Kargo, and Sterben in Karl-Marx-Stadt – in front of different colored walls. The final wall drops to reveal the tour title: “Das war ja keine Phase Tour 2027.”
“East German Eras” Tour: A Nod to Taylor Swift
Kummer playfully referred to the tour as the “East German Eras” tour, a clear allusion to Taylor Swift’s global tour from March 2023 to December 2024. The band stated under the video, “You have manifested the Kraftklub Eras,” indicating that fans can anticipate songs from all five of their albums.
Overwhelming Demand for Munich Tickets During Pre-Sale
A total of five dates have been confirmed for the tour: June 5 in Basel (St. Jakobshalle), June 11 in Cologne (RheinEnergieSTADION), June 26 in Hamburg (Volksparkstadion), July 3 in Leipzig (Festwiese), and August 14 in Munich (Königsplatz). The official online pre-sale began on September 16 at 4:00 PM. In addition, the band organized a personal pre-sale event in all five cities, allowing fans to purchase tickets and take photos with band members.
In Munich, this exclusive pre-sale took place on Sunday, September 13, at the Seehaus in the English Garden. The turnout was immense, with video footage showing a seemingly endless queue of fans. Some individuals reported waiting for up to four hours to get their tickets.
The band clarified that not all tickets for each concert were allocated during these on-site pre-sales. The majority of tickets became available during the regular online pre-sale on September 16 from 4:00 PM onwards. Ticket prices reportedly start at 64.90 Euros.
Berlin’s Absence and a Song Reference
A notable aspect of the tour schedule is the absence of Berlin. A potential explanation for this might be found in their debut album, Mit K (2012), which features the song “Ich will nicht nach Berlin” (I don’t want to go to Berlin), possibly serving as a tongue-in-cheek reason for the omission.
The tour announcement has generated significant excitement among fans, particularly in Munich, where the demand for tickets has been exceptionally high, underscoring the band’s enduring popularity.
