Man Intervenes in Robbery, Hospitalized with Minor Injuries in Eisenhüttenstadt

Eisenhüttenstadt, June 18 – A 66-year-old man was slightly injured and required hospital treatment after attempting to stop two alleged robbers in Eisenhüttenstadt. The incident occurred yesterday afternoon.

According to police reports, two men entered a store and threatened an employee with a firearm-like object, demanding cash. After the employee handed over money, a customer intervened.

A scuffle ensued, during which the 66-year-old man sustained minor injuries. He was subsequently taken to the hospital for treatment. The perpetrators reportedly fled the scene on bicycles with the stolen cash.

The criminal police are currently investigating whether this incident is connected to two similar cases that have occurred in recent weeks. Further details regarding the suspects or the exact amount of money stolen were not immediately available.

The police urge anyone with information about the robbery or the suspects to come forward and assist with the ongoing investigation.
