Milbertshofen-Lerchenau: ‘kreuz & quer’ Search and Run Game Kicks Off for Families and Children
From Wednesday, March 4th, to Wednesday, April 15th, 2026, children, families, and game-loving residents in Milbertshofen-Lerchenau, Munich, can participate in the ‘kreuz & quer’ search and run game, an initiative by the Department of Mobility. This exciting scavenger hunt encourages participants to explore their district using only muscle power – by foot, scooter, or bicycle.
How to Play ‘kreuz & quer’
The game involves finding colorful game boxes hung throughout the designated play area. Participants use a game card to scan these boxes, earning kilometers and points. The primary rule emphasizes sustainable mobility: points are only awarded for travel by foot, scooter, or bicycle. Drivers in the ‘kreuz & quer’ area are urged to exercise extra caution and consideration, or even better, join the game and cover distances by bike or on foot.

Free ‘kreuz & quer’ game materials will be distributed in primary schools within the play area. Additionally, starting Wednesday, March 4th, materials can be picked up at the following locations during their respective opening hours:
