“From YOU for YOU” – The Spirit of Neighborhood Hubs
For over 20 years, Munich’s Neighborhood Hubs have operated under the motto “From YOU for YOU.” These hubs provide a space for residents to collectively implement ideas, projects, and activities, to meet new people, and to exchange ideas. They empower citizens to shape their own living environment, get involved in their neighborhood, and support each other.
Local hub managers serve as contact persons for all neighborhood-related topics, guiding neighbors with their ideas and helping to establish useful contacts. The Neighborhood Hubs offer stability in uncertain times, especially as many people are affected by rising living costs and increasingly at risk of poverty. Active participation from everyone in the district creates a strong sense of community.
In short: The Munich Neighborhood Hubs, supported by the state capital, stand for a lively, neighborly coexistence, solidarity, and mutual support.
