A witness had reported the suspicious driving behavior of an Audi Q5 at approximately 2:30 AM. During the subsequent vehicle inspection, officers discovered approximately 390 grams of hashish, cocaine, a karambit knife, and brass knuckles. The 27-year-old driver, a Moroccan national, was found with cash, and drug tests confirmed cocaine use. His 38-year-old passenger, also of Moroccan origin, was also arrested.
Further searches of the two men’s apartments in Leverkusen uncovered additional hashish, two PTB weapons (gas/alarm guns), and two sets of brass knuckles with integrated stun gun functions. The Wuppertal public prosecutor’s office has charged both individuals with armed drug trafficking. A judge was scheduled to hear their cases on Friday.
