Munich, July 19 – In the early hours of Sunday morning, police broke up an unregistered TikTok party under the Wittelsbacher Bridge. The event, which drew hundreds of young people, came to an end after a passerby reported seeing a person with a knife. One 16-year-old was injured during a brawl at the gathering.

Emergency Call Leads to Police Intervention

The incident began shortly after midnight when a concerned citizen called the police, reporting a person seen with a knife under the Wittelsbacher Bridge. Multiple police patrols were immediately dispatched to the scene, where they discovered a large gathering of several hundred teenagers and young adults.

Police suspect the party was organized through a post on the social media platform TikTok, attracting a significant crowd to the unauthorized location.

Brawl Leaves Teenager Injured

Upon the arrival of the police, several attendees informed officers about a fight that had broken out at the party. Officers located a 16-year-old boy who had sustained injuries. He reported being pursued by multiple individuals and then struck on the head with a bottle. Emergency services transported the teenager to a hospital, and his legal guardian was notified.

Despite the initial report, police did not find a knife at the scene. After an “address to the people present,” the crowd dispersed. The Munich Criminal Police have taken over the ongoing investigation into the incident.

This event highlights the challenges authorities face with spontaneous, large-scale gatherings organized through social media, particularly concerning public safety and the potential for violence.
