Railway Employee Attacked at Dammtor Station in Hamburg
Hamburg, February 4 – A railway employee was attacked at Hamburg-Dammtor station on Tuesday afternoon. A 43-year-old man allegedly assaulted the employee after being denied permission to warm himself in a staff room, according to federal police.
Details of the Incident
The 43-year-old reportedly entered the railway supervisor’s office without authorization. When the 49-year-old railway employee explained that he was not permitted to be there, the man allegedly insulted him and then assaulted him with punches to the head and upper body, police reported.
An off-duty police officer, who happened to be on the platform, was able to subdue the aggressive man. The railway employee was transported to the hospital with injuries to his head and upper body, and a suspected concussion.
