Hamburg, July 21 – A late-night altercation at a kiosk in the Fuhlsbüttel district of Hamburg resulted in a serious stabbing. The incident, which occurred in the early hours of Monday morning, involved two men who were reportedly consuming alcohol at a kiosk on Ratsmühlendamm.

Shortly before midnight, the situation escalated when one of the men allegedly drew a knife and stabbed the other in the upper body. The 40-year-old victim sustained severe injuries and was immediately transported to a hospital for medical treatment.

Swift Police Response Leads to Arrest

Following the stabbing, the 35-year-old suspect fled the scene. However, a rapid response from the Hamburg police led to his apprehension a short time later. Multiple patrol cars and a drone were deployed in the search operation, ensuring the quick capture of the alleged perpetrator.

The police have initiated an investigation into the incident, with the suspected assailant facing charges of dangerous bodily harm. The exact circumstances leading to the escalation of the dispute are currently under investigation.
