Tchibo Sues Environmental Authority Over Coffee Aroma, Halting Housing Project in Hamburg-Hamm
Hamburg, July 6 – The construction of approximately 800 apartments in the Osterbrookhöfe quarter of Hamburg-Hamm remains stalled due to persistent coffee odors emanating from the nearby Tchibo roasting plant. The situation has escalated with Tchibo filing a lawsuit against the city’s environmental authority, pushing a resolution further out of reach.
The planned Osterbrookhöfe development, adjacent to the Tchibo roasting facility, requires an amendment to its building plan to allow for residential construction.
