Hamburg, August 17 – The ‘Glücksstern’ association has prepared approximately 630 school cones for children in Hamburg. This effort, supported by numerous associations and organizations, aims to assist children from financially disadvantaged families before the upcoming school enrollment day.

Volunteers Pack School Cones and Backpacks

On Monday, around 30 volunteers gathered at the Haus der Jugend in Niendorf to pack the school cones. In addition to the filled cones, 170 school backpacks were also prepared. Both the cones and backpacks were funded entirely through donations, highlighting the community’s commitment to supporting local children.

Growing Need for Support in Hamburg

Next Tuesday marks the school enrollment day in Hamburg, followed by the start of preschools on Wednesday. According to estimates, more than one in four children in Hamburg relies on external support. The ‘Glücksstern’ association, which has been active for 15 years, reports a continuously increasing demand for their services.
