Munich, August 9 – The FC Bayern U19 squad commenced their U19 DFB-Nachwuchsliga Group D season with a commanding 4-0 (1-0) home win against SpVgg Unterhaching on Sunday morning. The match, held at the FC Bayern Campus, saw Philipp von Taube open the scoring in the 13th minute, setting the tone for a dominant performance. Second-half goals from Wisdom Mark Imade (72nd minute), another from von Taube (84th minute), and captain Michael Matosevic (89th minute) sealed the comprehensive victory. Following the match, head coach Leo Haas expressed satisfaction with his team’s performance. “We are happy about the win and a good start to the league. Especially in the first game, you never really know where you stand and how you’ll get into it – the game can also turn in a different direction if you fall behind early. Despite creating further opportunities, Bayern couldn’t extend their lead before halftime, heading into the break with a slender 1-0 advantage.

Head coach Leonhard Haas opted for an unchanged lineup for the second half, which the Munich side immediately controlled. Aviel Hentcho Nseke narrowly missed with a header from a long corner in the 49th minute. The FCB U19 then took complete control of the game, relentlessly pushing for a second goal, which finally arrived in the 72nd minute. Imade skillfully bypassed his marker on the left wing, drove into the penalty area, and finished precisely from a tight angle to make it 2-0. Substitute Chris Aaron Afanou had an immediate chance to add another goal from an Osmani corner but headed inaccurately in the 74th minute. Ten minutes later, von Taube secured his brace, effectively sealing the victory: Afanou delivered a low ball into the middle, where the U19’s number nine was perfectly positioned to convert with a right-footed shot, making it 3-0 in the 84th minute. The scoring wasn’t over yet; following a high ball recovery by Bayern, Matosevic struck the ball directly from the air from approximately 15 meters out, securing the final 4-0 scoreline in the 89th minute.
