Hamburg, July 5 – Peter Nissen, a revered figure in Platt German culture, known for his extraordinary linguistic skills and affectionately dubbed the “Platt Pope,” has died at the age of 68. He passed away on Easter Monday after a short, severe illness. Nissen’s extensive contributions spanned theater, radio, television, and literature, leaving an indelible mark on the Platt German cultural landscape.
A Life Dedicated to Platt German
