Berlin’s Hidden Gem: Secret Champagne Garden Unveiled at The Ritz-Carlton

Berlin, July 8, 2026 – Those who believe they know Potsdamer Platz inside and out may be in for a surprise. High above the bustling square, a hidden Champagne Garden has opened its doors – though only on one day a week.

While many might first think of Tiergarten or one of the capital’s numerous courtyards when searching for a green oasis in Berlin, few would expect to find a nearly hidden garden perched high above the busy Potsdamer Platz.

With the launch of the Secret Champagne Garden, The Ritz-Carlton, Berlin introduces a seasonal summer location. Instead of a traditional rooftop bar, guests will discover a sprawling 350-square-meter elevated garden on the hotel’s third floor, lushly planted and peacefully situated.

Starting the Week with Champagne

The only catch: the Secret Champagne Garden is exclusively open on Mondays from 4 PM to 9 PM, and only when the weather permits. This offering is primarily aimed at Berliners looking to kick off their week with a glass of champagne.

Outside of its public opening hours, the garden remains far from unused. From Tuesday to Sunday, the venue can be exclusively reserved for private celebrations or business events. With space for up to 40 people, the elevated garden is ideal for summer parties, birthdays, networking events, or smaller receptions.

A Look at the Menu

The team from the hotel’s “The Curtain Club” bar is responsible for the drinks. In addition to a curated selection of champagnes, the menu features seasonal signature cocktails. Well-known classics also receive a summery reinterpretation, such as a light Sgroppino with sorbet and Prosecco. For those who prefer non-alcoholic options, creations like a San Limello Spritz or a Detox Collins are also available.

The Ritz-Carlton, Berlin, located at Potsdamer Platz 3, 10785 Berlin, is renowned for its Art Deco style, complete with chandeliers and marble, reminiscent of the 1920s. At 6 PM, champagne is served in the lobby, adding to the hotel’s luxurious ambiance.

This new Secret Champagne Garden offers a unique experience, blending urban luxury with a serene natural setting, providing a refreshing escape from the city’s hustle and bustle.
