Berlin, April 9 – In a coordinated operation, Berlin police and federal police forces apprehended six individuals in the early hours of Monday, November 11th, following a series of alleged robberies and burglaries across the Reinickendorf and Pankow districts. The suspects, aged between 15 and 21, are currently in police custody as investigations continue.
String of Crimes Across Berlin Districts
The crime spree reportedly began around 1:30 AM in Reinickendorf. Witnesses reported hearing a loud crash at a restaurant on Emmentaler Straße, followed by several individuals fleeing the scene after one suspect allegedly attempted to kick a hole in a window. Initial findings suggest nothing was stolen during this attempted burglary.

Violent Robbery in Pankow
Approximately 40 minutes later, at 2:10 AM, a 25-year-old man was reportedly robbed on Provinzstraße. According to police, the suspects approached the man, demanded money, then assaulted him, punching and kicking him before stealing his fanny pack. The victim sustained a broken nose and was taken to a hospital for outpatient treatment.
Just minutes later, around 2:35 AM, a 59-year-old pedestrian on Schulzestraße in Pankow was also attacked by the group. The victim was punched in the face, and his wallet and valuables were stolen before the perpetrators fled. The man, who sustained minor injuries, declined medical treatment.
Arrests Made and Investigation Underway
The breakthrough came shortly after 3:00 AM when Federal Police officers noticed a suspicious trio acting unusually around parked vehicles on Kühnemannstraße. A Toyota Corolla was found with a smashed side window. A 20-year-old suspect was apprehended at the scene, and the damaged vehicle was secured.
Following intensive investigations throughout the night, the remaining five suspects were also arrested. During the arrest of a 21-year-old, officers discovered and confiscated a balaclava and an emergency hammer. All six individuals have been handed over to the criminal police, and the investigation is ongoing.
Authorities have not yet released details regarding potential motives or whether the suspects are linked to other incidents in the city. The police are appealing for any further witnesses to come forward with information that could assist their inquiry.
