ASTA Group Strengthens Position as International Technology Partner of the Energy Industry at CWIEME Berlin 2026

Berlin, May 26 – The ASTA Group showcased its expertise at CWIEME Berlin 2026, alongside leading international companies in the energy and electrical industries. The company underscored its position as a European technology partner for innovative and customized conductor solutions, focusing on new projects and customer partnerships in transformers, high-voltage applications, generators, and e-mobility. A significant highlight was the early extension of its long-term collaboration with Siemens Energy until 2032.

CWIEME Berlin is recognized as the world’s most important platform for technological developments, innovations, and strategic partnerships across the electrical value chain. For ASTA, the fair provided an opportunity to engage with international customers, industry partners, and leading market participants on the current requirements of modern energy infrastructures, as well as future projects and technological developments.

Focus on High-Performance Conductor Solutions

The core of ASTA’s exhibition focused on high-performance copper conductor solutions for transformers, generators, high-voltage applications, and e-mobility. Among the products presented were Continuously Transposed Conductors (CTCs), Roebel Bars, and individually developed components for demanding energy and industrial projects. ASTA’s solutions are utilized worldwide in system-critical applications for power transmission and industrial electrification.

Numerous technical discussions confirmed the increasing demand for high-performance, project-specific solutions and reliable production and delivery capacities. The dynamics in the European market are currently driven by the energy transition, grid modernization, electrification, and the rapidly increasing electricity demand from industry, infrastructure, and data centers. Simultaneously, large-scale global energy infrastructure projects and investments in power grids, transformers, and industrial electrification continue to drive the demand for technologically sophisticated conductor solutions.

Extended Partnership with Siemens Energy

A crucial milestone during the trade fair was the early extension of the long-term collaboration between ASTA and Siemens Energy until 2032. This move strengthens the long-standing partnership between both companies in modern energy infrastructure and continues their close cooperation in international energy and grid expansion projects.

“The energy infrastructure worldwide is undergoing a historic transformation phase. The expansion of power grids, the integration of renewable energies, and increasing electrification require powerful and technologically advanced conductor solutions. ASTA possesses the industrial competence, technological expertise, and production capacities to shape this development in the long term,” explained Dr. Karl Schäcke, CEO of the ASTA Group.

Thomas Schneider, CSO of the ASTA Group, added: “The high demand for high-performance and customized conductor solutions clearly shows that technological excellence, outstanding and stable production quality, and reliable partnerships will be the success parameters of the future.”

With its global production base, high vertical integration, and many years of expertise in copper processing, the ASTA Group once again positioned itself in Berlin as a reliable provider and strong technology partner for global energy and electrification projects.
